Cheapest way of getting external CD/DVD drives for laptops (USB to IDE?)

I have a bunch of IDE DVD-ROM/DVD-burner drives (5.25" form factor) at home that I have taken out of old PCs and will be getting a Dell Mini 9 (netbook) that does not have an internal optical drive.

What's the cheapest/easiest way of adapting those 5.25" optical drives for use on a laptop/netbook? Would I need a USB 2.0 to IDE adapter cable? Do you have any recommended brands/stores that carry a good product?

Something like that will be perfect. For about $25 shipped it's also the cheapest highly rated model at newegg.

If you're not in a hurry, they put at least one of these on sale with free shipping fairly frequently but it might not be this particular model.

Edit: Here's the full list of converters. Read some of the reviews before buying.
