Antec NEO ECO 400W(+12V@30A)
Athlon 64 X2 5000+
1600x900
$125 MAX

I've considered many different video cards, but I can't decide. Not sure where/if my processor becomes a bottleneck, or just how cheap I could go playing at my low resolution. Would a GDDR5 GT 440 suffice? Would a GTX 550 Ti just be bottlenecked?

Open to any recommendations. TIA

Then turn on MLAA or FXAA :)

Thats with a i5-2500k @4ghz.

I heard its kinda CPU demending, so you might want to overclock that 5000+ as far as you can get it,
usually 3.2ghz-3.3ghz or so.

I know someone with a Phenom II X4 CPU (Zosma), unlocked to 5 cores. He uses a 2GB 550ti, which is towards the lower end of what is acceptable for SWTOR. I think his res is either 1600x900 or 1680x1050. (22" LCD I think.)

PS. OP, check your motherboard maker's web site for a BIOS update to your board, if it's AM2+, then you could drop in a Phenom II X4 chip yourself.

GTX460 1gig runs it great on both an i5 2500K rig and a Phenom ii x4. Got mine for $118 AR a while back. The i5 runs at 1920x1200 while the Phenom is only 1280x1024.

You might have issues with that Athlon 64 though.
