What's the cheapest tablet that can handle Netflix and Plex streaming video? Preferably at least 720p with an IPS screen. It will be placed in one spot with power attached. I was thinking about the Amazon Fire HD 6, but what are some other tablets?

refurb Asus Nexus. I got two. One for me to use for whatever, and one for mom to use as a photo frame.

Any $50 black Friday android tablet would be up to the task. Maybe not spectacularly but it'll work without videos stuttering. Most tablets are up to the task these days, even the cheapest ones. HP Stream 7 would be one to look at.

If all its doing is running a video loop all day, pretty much anything will do that.
Do you care about size? You can pick up a used amazon fire Hd (2012) for about that much. It has a 8.9 1080p screen and really nice speakers. Probably the best screen you'll find in that price range.
