Cheapest service to use iPhone as kid tracker?

Call me paranoid, but I'd like to check if the kiddo makes the trip from school to after school fine (it's NY after all). I have a crack 6s that otherwise works, what's the cheapest prepaid service for occassional find iphone lookups?

Try Life360. The free version lets you check where the phone is right now, and I think one day of location tracking. If you just want to see current location, free should do it. The premium version is I think $3/month. It lets you setup a bunch of location alerts (e.g. kid left school, kid arrived at after school, kid arrived at home, spouse arrived at work, etc.) as opposed to just one.

I meant for cellphone service. It's an extra line without service and we've already maxed out our 4 family plan lines, so I'm thinking prepaid
