cheapest satellite?

Go to dishnetwork.com and directv.com and look.

Satellite shops/installers can't set the monthly programming prices, only those two can.

I went from DirecTV to Dish about two year's ago because Dish had a nice PVR for free (paid $49 for installation or something). I've been happy with it ever since. If you are interested in the NFL package, Dish can't offer it.

ok thats good. i'm just looking for more channels but don't want cable because comcast is a ripoff IMO.

Satellite plays by different rules. That $24 is the cheapest you'll get from Dish and I think DirecTV's cheapest package is also about $22. That doesn't include local channels (assuming you're in a market where they carry your particular locals instead of providing national feeds).

New DTV customers can get the DirecTIVO recievers for $50 each as well. Best part is monthly fee for Tivo is only $5 instead of $12 (I think) for those with the standalone units. And yes, the sports packages on DTV are great, if I had time to watch them.

Mind letting me know where to get the DirecTIVO for $50??

I'm buying a new system (direcTV) in the next couple days and I can only find them for $99.

Hmm. Maybe that was only for that particular promotion. Check your local CC and watch their ad. I think they're the ones who had them for $50. Even so, I'd take it for $100🙂
