Fiancee wants a Razr to replace her samsung... She dosen't care about waiting for the new V3i or the V3x, she just wants it for the size, reception, and price...

Cingular is a rip, still wants $99ar ($150 otd) including a 2 year extension.

Wireflyfriends has it for -$30ar ($20 otd), but is questionable as i've heard some bad things about them....

Any other places to get this phone on the cheap on an extension?

Wirefly is the cheapest you'll get it. If you can live with the before rebate price then I'd definately go with them and then cross my fingers about getting the rebate. They're a pain in the ass to get rebates from, but you wont have a problem getting the phone at the otd price.

Also heard some things over at FW about people getting refurbs when purchasing new...

But $20 sure is a good price even w/o countin on the rebates...

I had the slvr for about a week right after it came out, not impressed at all. It was sluggish, iTunes especially. Reception was decent. However, the phone crashed on me 2-3 times just doing everyday stuff. Checked out one in the store and it crashed as well, ended up sending it back. Also, while it looks great, it picks up fingerprints and face marks like nothing i've ever seen, i was constantly cleaning it.

You're going to have a hard time finding a razr for free, unless she doesn't mind changing numbers. In the end I just bought one from cingular.

i mainly need a phone for calls, and some texting, nothing fancy, the cingular guy said that nokia or motorola have some of the best reception

i should be picking up a Slvr today, i'll let you know what i think
