Just go to a tire place and ask for used tires. Alot of people get all four new tires when the two in back are almost brand new. You will probably end up 1-4 different brands, treads, and even different sizes on the width. It won't hurt anything it will cost about $25 a tire installed.

$330 is not that bad for a set of tires. Especially if they are name brand and that's a balanced and installed price from a major chain. That's about what I'd expect to pay on that car.

truth

~ $20/tire w/lots of tread left

edit:
if you want brand new, try costco (currently having a sale on michelin and bf goodrich). but you gotta buy the $60 annual membership. plus keep it up in order to keep up the tire warrenty.

walmart is also a good place. AVOID goodyear viva2. it slips and slides in rain.
goodyear viva touring is great. emergency stop from 30mph in moderate rain = no problem. (i tested this with no other traffic around me.)

Sams includes free rotation every 7500 miles after buying the tires. They are cheaper than the NTB's, etc.

My dad recently put new tires on two of his cars from tirerack.com and even though it's been a couple months since he did it, every time I talk to him, he tells me about it again, seems like. I guess that means he liked the price he got.

When you buy tires based only on the price, you usually get what you pay for...

Using the Tire Rack's site, your OEM tires are 205/65-16 (02 Altima 2.5, not one of the upgraded models)

The stock tire is the Continental ContiTouringContact CT95...$67/ each plus shipping and mounting & balancing...

They have a couple of slightly cheaper ($2-$5 each less) tires, but IMO, significanly lower quality as well...

Since we really have no idea where you live, (profile shows PEI, USA) it's hard to recommend a place to get your tires.

I like tirerack.com, not just for the prices but for the reviews. Got great tires for our car for $89 each, and the reviews rated that model behind just one other tire which was twice the cost. They shipped them direct to the local installer we chose.

I got a set of four new Nitto performance tires on four new Enkei rims, mounted, balanced, and shipped to my door for $417 or something. Gotta love discounttiredirect.

This is one of those rare questions that your local phone book is better at answering than the internet.

Not for tires. VERY expensive for what you get. I almost laughed at them when I took a look at tires there.

Depending on your size/need you can get VERY good tires for 150 bucks or less each at the already mentioned tirerack or deepdiscount.
