Cheapest OBD II reader

Harbor Freight has one on sale for $29.99 right now, and it does OK. I've actually used it, and it does work.

I was going to mention this. IIRC, it's actually the same "low end" model that AutoZone sells for around $100.

By the way, depending on the car type, there are sometimes ways to go through a sequence to get the code to be displayed on your dash (digital oddometer for example). My wife's Durango does this (I think my Intrepid does also). You can then look the codes up on the internet.

I didn't see it online. I saw it in the store ad. The version that I saw, which was identical to the AZ version, will clear them (AZ said it would be said I would need to do it). I'll look around for a sale paper or a link.

Cheapest version online was $36.99 here.

Here is the one that is on sale in their store for $29.99: CEN OBD Reader. Their website doesn't list all the prices anymore.

They also have one for $49.99 that includes a CD with it of all the codes, etc.

My apologies as I was wrong. I went and found the ad (from several month ago) at the shop and the model that I was was for $89.99. There were all three models listed with the cheapest being $29.99 (as linked above). Sorry for the confusion. 😱
