Cheapest HSF for a 2600+ non overclocked???

Title says it all..... What is the cheapest HSF for a 2600+ non overclocked??? Can the old and trusty GC-68 work with this???

I think the die is too small for GC68 since it is all aluminum. If you want good cooling, probably look at something like SK7 for above $20-$25 around. I just don't think anything cheaper will cut it. Definitely make sure the HS is copper or at least have a copper core.

Naw, these chips run pretty cool. I have an $8 Coolermaster heatsink from Newegg and my chip rarely goes above 45C even under full load......

i ran my xp2700+ with an Alpha 6045. the small one, so ya, any decent hs will work with this.

I'm currently running an AMD Athlon 2100+ XP TBred (AIUHB 0307) running @ 2700+ speed (2.17GHz) @ default voltage (1.6V). I'm using the GC-68 w/ Arctic Silver 3 and my temps are 89F (32C) idle and 98F (37C) fully loaded in a 70F (21C) room. I think you will be OK running stock.
