Cheapest gym membership?

you can get around the $100 bucks sometimes if they are running a special, and it's 35 a month where i live...the upside is that you can use your membership at any YMCA, so when i treck home from VA to MI i'm still good 🙂

LOL... at my Y the student rate for 3 months over the summer is $215 + $50 sign up fee. HAHAHA... fat chance. Best bet is to probably look for a local gym that charges reasonable rates.

Don't you still have to pay a fee to use other YMCAs other than your home? Browsing through their website, that's what they say. And it also mentions that you are limited to a certain number of visits per year.

I have a Y membership and i can go to any YMCA for free with unlimited visits. But that may be a local thing. anyway i pay $100 startup and $49 a month for the family.

I guess YMCA's vary a lot. I was a member of mine for a while. It was $60 initial membership fee then only $23/month. They had decent fitness rooms but not spectacular. They didn't have a pool though. We could use the other Y's in the area also, just not their pools.

I used it a lot the first couple months, then my usage slowly dropped off. After about 6 months I was barely going so I ended up canceling it.
