I just bought a 2405FPW to go with my older 2000FP lcd

my video card is an all in wonder ATI 8500DV, with a single dvi connection

I need a new card, with dual DVI connections and the power to drive both monitors. I want the cheapest I can get away with, while still being an upgrade gpu-wise over the radeon 8500dv

-edit-

or if you think its a good option, a PCI card to drive just the 2000FP via dvi, leaving my radeon to push the 2405. I dont really care about getting a faster GPU, as my card plays all the 3d games I care about

Cheapest dual DVI AGP card that is a definite upgrade for your Radeon would be the 6600GT (from BFG or XFX, they both have dual DVI as far as I know) ... price about $200 something I think ...

If you're going to with extra PCI then there are several possible solutions ... the cheapest maybe the FX5200 or the Radeon 9200's ... those cards should cost less than $70 ... Matrox also has several PCI cards with DVI connection (one example the Millennium P650 PCI, which can actually do dual DVI output on itself), however this card is most likely as expensive as the 6600GT ...

Personally getting the 6600GT with dual DVI may actually be a better solution ... because even though I have played around with dual video card setup on several machines without any problem, there have been numerous reports of problem with dual card setups ... especially if you mix cards from different chip producers ...

I've got an FX 5700 w/ dual dvi and 256 megs of ram.
i got it a while back, so i figure it ought to be around 100 bucks by now.
