What is the cheapest domain registrar?

What is the cheapest and most reliable domain registrar?

The key point being they are a REGISTRAR and you won't get the domain-camping/stealing/etc. shenanigans that other "registrars" might try to pull on you. Oh, and I think it's safe to say it's what RossMAN would recommend as well 😉

looks like godaddy has a special going on for 6.95/year registration but then they charge 6.99/yr for the whois privacy guard too 🙁.
looks like i might go with namecheap again since they give that for free even if the domain are a few dollars more expensive.

Just look at that home page.. what a MESS godaddy is. Everytime you login you're going to have to see all those ads, ugh

Doesn't anybody give multiple year discounts anymore?

The last time I registered with godaddy I got 10 yrs. for $70, it won't be up untill 2011.

I've got a domain renewal coming up on the 23rd of this month at Dixiesys. I think I had that one for 5 years.
