Cheapest board to take a q9550 to 4Ghz?

for q9550, i suggest an ep45-ud3p. i used to have a q9550 with the mobo (currently on sale). took it to 3.8 GHz on stock volts. could have taken it further but i didnt like the temps.

I'd say the only certain board for "cheaper" is the UD3R/P.

Anything less & you are definitely in for a big gamble, as a truely stable 471 FSB quad is NOT a walk in the park for the majority of mobos.

I would not count on that w/ anything less, & even with the UD3R/P you might need to spend a good bit of time tweaking VTT/NB voltages + GTLs to make it stably happen.
