Question cheapest bluray backup drive

As you say, just buy the cheapest BDXL compatible drive you can find. Only question is if it needs to be internal or external. ODDs are pretty much generic these days, only LG and Pioneer platforms.

Forget about UHD blurays on PC. If you want to watch those, buy a standalone player.

i already bought lg wh16ns60 and i rip uhd disks that why asked for backups
 
you can't beat price/performance of USB hard-drive as a backup medium. Azure as a cloud if your internet allows it.
