Hello, I'm looking to build the cheapest computer possible. The only requirements are:
that the parts should be from a good online store(ie, newegg)
the parts should be decent(it doesn't really need to be fast, just work)
needs a DVD Dual Layer Burner
no rebate(I hate those things)
no OS(I'll run linux)
no monitor(unless you guys know where I can get one for about 50 bucks, used or new)
512 megs of RAM
Also include keyboard/mouse
I posted this in the barebones forum, since the cheapest I could build was based on a barebones. it was 270-290 bucks, can't remember. Sorry for making this sound like a homework assignment, I just want a cheap computer, and wondered what you guys thought. BTW, I didn't save the config for that ~$270 computer, but I'll post it if you guys want to know.
Edit: i added that I need a keyboard and mouse(the one I put together actually had a wireless keyboard and mouse0
