cheapest android phone to use for spotify?

I don't want to spent a lot, $50 used moto e's are tempting..

I have an iPhone 6s+ that I absolutely love, but is completely awkward to use at the gym (it also will get stolen, the gym's in a shady part of town). I'd just use it to sync via wifi and use an hour a day at the gym, nothing fancy. Good sound quality would be nice.

Thanks!

Almost anything would work, the issue is the Internet access. If you want to sim swap with the iPhone that limits things. If it is really only WiFi then Moto E or old G even.

I figured - I see a ton of oldies running kitkat going for sub-$40, those would work fine right? Or does spotify require newer android builds? I don't plan on sim swapping.

Also, any manufactures better bets for audio quality? Like huwais go for $29 refurbed, which would be fine if they use a decent enough DAC.

I just checked and Spotify will install on all my devices and some are old old. So yeah any Android would work, I would shoot for a 8GB model so you have a few gigs for your tunes. SD card support on the app is hit or miss (especially for Moto E).

Check your local supermarket. Seriously.

I pay $9.99 bucks a month for Spotify and you wont need internet if you sync the music but addition to that you can have if playing offline if you choose which song or playlist you want to be able to play offline.

I bought a LG 34C Optimus Fuel from Kroger for $10. It does basically everything. It has a snapdragon 400. I'm not sure what the regular price is but I'm sure you can find deals like that anywhere.
