Hi,
I need an cheap AGP card that is DX 9c compatible for my mom's PC. All it has to do is run a Casino game that requires 9c. Best place to get cheap , it's an old home built PC. Don't want to spend much. Also, where's the best place to get PC133 ram cheap. I need some 512 mb modules for same upgrade.
Thanks for advice!!

If it uses PC133 ram, you'll need to check what kind of AGP slot it has:

1-2x 3v or 4x 1.5v. I doubt it will have an 8x slot.

I think all dx9c cards require at least a 4x 1.5v slot. Your cheapest option would be a geforce 6200A for 9c. Not a gaming card as it only has 64-bit memory, but good enough for what you're after by the sounds of it. You can get them without fans so they're silent.

ebay I'd imagine, and they'll also have brand new ones too.

Do a search on there for "6200" and "AGP".

Have a quick look at the 6200A reviews on the internet too, to make sure it's what you're after.

buy those used on ebay... before you do check out how much it will cost to build a similar budget PC upgrade with a cheap X2, a 780G mobo (DX10) and DDR2. prices are so low on these and so HIGH on older hardware, you might end up paying less for a more serious upgrade.
Actually if you don't buy them used you will most certainly be paying more for your upgrade.

so you wouldn't buy a used one on ebay when you can buy one for 40 or 80$ in newegg?
Well, if you WANT to throw away money... for that price id replace the mobo to one with a DX10 IGP.
