Why not just get the new 1 gig iPod shuffle, its fricken tiny and only $79. Unless your one of those "iPods are the devil!" kinda people :p

guy I know got one in Singapore for like 20 singapore dollars. was cheap crap but t worked for a good 6 months.

Agreed! But keep in mind that sometimes it really is ok to buy cheap. I do sometimes and have yet to regret it. Most recently I bought a cheap plasma tv, and so far have no complaints what-so-ever.

I picked up a 512Mb sandisk for about $20 off woot a few weeks ago. I can leave it at work and not have to worry about it getting jacked.

well you should remember anti-trust laws. your files are on it, protect them like they were your own.

WTF are you talking about? Antitrust laws are to prevent monopolies in business.

My point was that I don't have to worry about a $20 MP3 player at my desk b/c nobody will even want to steal it. The big black letters that say REFURB on the back also help prevent theft.
