I have a few thousands of dollars saved up for buying a cheap 24p digital video cam for my video editing hobby - now the question is - what is the cheapest best bargain cam I could get that shoot 24p?

The Panasonic AG-DVX100A is a great 24p camcorder. It's about $3000. That's about the cheapest you'll find a true 24p camcorder.

Your editing software must also support 24p. Most packages do... Premiere, Vegas, Apple FCP, Avid...

If you watch MTV's Wildboyz, it's shot with the Panasonic AG-DVX100A. It's got that "film look" that only 24p can deliver!

You won't find cheap and 24p quite yet. 24p is still quite new... but soon cameras with 24p will drop in price... I hope!

As an additional resource, check out DVInfo There is a very good forum and the "Watchdogs" collect information about various cameras.

Going for film, eh? ;)
