Cheaper alternative to OCZ Platinum ram?

The Platinum is rated at DDR400. It will have faster timings at this speed than the Value Select. It will be faster if you are not overclocking and probably be able to reach a higher overclock if you are. Is CAS2 worth $50? I can't make that decision for you, but if I were going for 2GB of RAM I'd go for that kit.

Yeah, thats what I'm going to do. I was hoping there would be more like $100 difference. I might as well just pay the extra 50 bucks. Plus I think there is a mail in rebate.
