cheapeast v5000 pci in canada

you yankiees have it good 140(us) for v5000!!!!!!! i have seen it in canada for 299(cdn) so that is just a little over 200(us)....
now for all you canadians where is the cheapest place to pick up one of these 3d cards. At future shop its 299(cdn) + 15% tax.... i would not care if it is oem or boxed version... and do you think ordering one from the us is an option, caz most of the sights are just for the us market.. Also i have heard stories of people getting stuff from the us and paying a lot more in total ..... any ideas would be helpfull

Don't you mean the V5 5500 PCI? I thought 3dfx only make the 4500 and the 5500.

I think 3dfx announced the V5-5000 (2 VSA-100s, 32MB memory) but it was never produced...

Onvia used to have it for $297 shipped. Not sure if they still do or not. I got my AGP through them and was impressed with the service.

was the price 297 + 15% tax... caz there is a section where you can enter coupon number and save on gst if anybody has any idea on saving some money please help.. caz 297 + tax is not that grate of a price compaired to future shop shich sells it for 299.....

Well, that depends where you live, but it is before tax, yes. It is also the shipped price. I don't think you are going to get it cheaper than that (or Future Shop). If you are waiting for another $100 drop, I think you will be waiting awhile. Buy it and enjoy it.

the problem is that i just got a new system and spent most of my money, but i want and wish for a good video card and it seems that the v5500 pci is the best option .. keeping in mind i got a p3-800 with the 810e MB which has no agp port so i am limited to the 3dfx products... do you think i should go with the cheaper v4 or even the v3 , or is the v5500 that damn good and really worth the 300 cdn for the system i got....
