Cheap way to get mp3s or shout cast to a receiver?

Ok, here is what I have:

1 computer with a SB Live 5.1 card.
Location: Upstairs

1 Receiver, speakers, etc.
Location: Downstairs

1 wireless router with 4 ports.
Location: Next to the reciever downstairs.

What I lack: A receiver with a Cat5 jack and money.

How can I get mp3s or shoutcast on the receiver without running cable every where?
Is it even possible?

Correct me, but you said that the wireless router is next to reciever?

If so, then drop a small old pc next to that and run audio cable to the reciever, presuming that the Reciever has audio input...

Old PC +network card + 24 bit soundcard == streaming mp3 goodness
That's the only thing I would buy to stream music, I wouldn't trust the audio output on those stream boxes.
