Cheap water cooling

I picked up a huge (cheap) heater core that I'm going to mount in the top of my case (Antec P160) with 2 120mm fans in blowholes. Any suggestions for hi volume low noise fans? Since they will be on the top noise will be an issue.
I'm using an aquavia 1300 pump (cheap) and a waterblock with 3/8" barbs. I'm thinking of using an old 1/4" barb gpu water block (free) on a tee to cool my 6600GT. The idea being that the restricted flow of the 1/4" block will force most of the water to the cpu block. The only sure fire way to know if this will work is by watching temps.
Any other bright ideas (or dumb ones) any of you have would be welcomed. And in case you didn't notice, I'm doing this on the cheap. 😉

Edit: Should have put this in cases and cooling. Sorry.
