ok... i am from the land of desktops and being able to buy a barebones box for 100 bucks and have a running pc for 250 or so... i thought that the same thing would happen w/ notbooks but aparently thats now how it is... all i want is something w/ a decent cpu, no SLOW Celerons tho high end celerons are ok, a decent sized HDD and 802.11b/g capability... the HDD isnt that big of a deal as i have an external as well as the box im using right now, 320gb of HDD, but the CPU needs to be decent and i would hope for something other than a SiS BLADE or whatever the uber crappy integrated video is... mainly all this thing is going to do is browse the net, watch videos, run photoshop everyone once in a while and every now and then make a video w/ movie maker... im not sure on the requirements for it to be vista capable but it would be wonderful to be able to run vista in the future...
but as the title says im wanting CHEAP... i know i can get what i want plus a whole bunch of crap i dont for like 1000 bucks but i cant justify spending that much on a laptop that is slower than my desktop that i built over a year ago.
