Cheap video camera or good digital camera?

I've been taking salsa lessons for about 3 months now and I've realized it would be very helpful to record my private lessons so I can remember what we went over and practice at home. I don't have a family or kids or anything else to video tape.

I'm wondering if it would be better for me to get this cheap video camera or to get a digital camera that can record for up to an hour.

Video Camera I'm looking at

I don't mind spending up to $250 for a good digital camera that can take good long video.

Anyone have any suggestions?

How long do the salsa lessons last?

I would go for a digital camera and good sized SD media.

You are probably better off with a video camera for that need, but a $250 budget will hamper that. There is a camera like that at best buy or circuit city for like $50...they are more digital camera than true video camera though.

I'm probably going to be having private lessons for at least 4 or 5 more months. That is a good point.

I really don't want to buy a video camera more than $100 because I don't think I'll use it for anything other than this.
