Cheap Vid Card for Second Monitor

dalfollo

I got a good deal on a basic PC that has onboard video...would like to use the PCIe or regular PCI to add another graphics card for a second monitor....

My old video was an AGP Radeon, but tht won work....the onboard video is: ATI Radeon XPress 200

Basic internet, web dev, and home office stuff

I have several 17" CRTs, and likely won't be spending any money on LCDs for a while...$25 would be perfect, maybe up to $50...it doesn't have to be any better than the onboard...

thanks for any feedback...

obviously you don't have AGP, so for the guy who posted AGP cards, nice try..

anyway, you can't go wrong with a PCI card, but I still think they're overpriced. in fact, PCI-e video cards will probably get you better performance and take much more load off of the CPU. if you just go to Newegg.com, you'll find some cheap PCI-e video cards. for the guy who said get a Geforce 6600, that wouldn't be the wisest decision to just run basic apps using a gaming card. I'd go with an x300, you can find one for 1/3 the price of a 6600 card.
