$11.95..after shipping and tax ~$16. That's a great deal as bnc cables go for about $40-50. And these cables seem to be decent quality if they are anything like the picture.. i ordered one yesterday and will let you guys know how it goes. I run 1880x1440x75hz on my 22" so i believe it should make a visible difference...anything less than 1600x1200 and i don't know. but hey..they're cheap..

UPDATE..got my cables and they're very well made..picture quality-wise..i could hardly tell the difference..but it is there..

Using one right now on my iiyama and it works fine. Bnc connector finish is a little rough compared to the "expensive" ones and I'm sure shielding isn't as good, but it is a well made product; just not top of the line. I have, and have used the real pro cables and I can see no noticable difference among the good, the bad and the D-sub.

I'm running @ 2048x1536 on my 21" using these Symmic cables, and its really good (compared to regular DB15). Quality seems to be pretty good.

Seems like the same sort of cable the "cable lady" at the swap meet I go to typically has. I just made a quick pricewatch check though, about the same $7

20601-IBM IBM SUPER VGA MONITOR CABLE Connector: D-sub High Density 15 pin Male to 5 BNC Cable: UL 2919/2990 RGB Coaxial 5 PE Coaxial 75 Ohm LENGTH : 6ft $ 7.00

cableclub.com

Sorry no direct link, you just need to look down the list of vga cables.

my iiyama has plugs for those bnc cables, along with the normal monitor connector... is there a difference between the two? is it suppose to be better quality if i use the bnc to monitor connector? sorry, i'm ignorant on this

But if the signals aren't shield well, then wouldn't it mean that you could get more distortion from the mixed signals? Or is the interference negligible?

Sorry, i'm ignorant on this also. I have a Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 900U.
That has both type of connectors also. My question is can I run one PC to one connector on the back. While running another PC to the other connecton ?

Tks in advance.

there was link to a better deal, but they didn't answer the phone the first few times. They want 8-9 bucks for shipping to san francisco, ca. ymmv. they are in fremont, ca, which is all of 20 miles away. same price as above.
take your pick.

referring to mikeford's post.

I've got a 21" Viewsonic monitor running 1600x1200 and when I use a standard VGA cable it looks like poo. I get a more fuzzy picture and a ghosted image about 1/2 inch to the right. I've tried a few different VGA sub-D cables with the same results. When I switched to a BNC cable all of that went away and the picture was CRISP!

In my new apartment my monitor is about 10 feet from my case. I need to get a 12 or 14 foot BNC cable. Does anyone know where I can find one?

Thanks!

how big of a difference does it make to have these kinds of cables instead of the stock ones?

I'll admit, I'm ignorant...but how do you hook a BNC connector to your computer? Does it need a special video card with a BNC connector? If so, what are some video cards that have one?
