Everything looks okay, but there's some imporovements possible.

For one thing, you're missing optical drives, unless you're using your old drives for this new build.

SATA Hard drives aren't much faster than IDE (and sometimes slower). If you don't mind rebates, there's plenty of larger size drives for around the same cost after rebates. Check "Hot Deals" forum.

I"m not a PSU Nazi, but you should get a tad bit better PSU. PSU is something you don't upgrade very often, so spend a bit more on it. Get something from more reputable manufactures.

thanks for the advice. maybe i'll look at cases that don't come with a power supply and buy one seperately

Not that I consider it legal or even really suggest not buying it but, why are you buying Windows XP.
