Cheap tablet for internet/word/excel?

for travel, I have a 11.6" dual core netbook. I just do web browsing, movies, and rarely Office (word/excel).
I'm dying with the 768 vertical. constant scroll down.. ugg.

at home, I have a 27" monitor that does 2560 x 1440. it's in portrait mode so 2560 vertical!

doing 1366x768 vertical, I can imagine a lot of horizontal scrolling since webpages nowadays are designed for 1024 across.

I guess I'm looking for something that's 1920x1080.

I know nothing about tablets.
Suggestions?
