Cheap subs

I'm looking into getting a cheap subwoofer for a one-room house that is about the size of 1.5 dorm rooms I'd say. I read the guide and noticed Dayton subs in the lowest price range. Would a Dayton perform better than a Polk like this one, recommended to me a while ago on another forum?

Thanks!

I would pick one of that daytons over that.

If you can wait until they're on sale with the free shipping deal, then I think it's an even clearer choice.

Thanks! Amazon has very few reviews of Dayton products compared to the more well-known brands, and sometimes those reviews are lower. I suspect this is because the people buying know more about sound than those looking at the more conventional brands.

The Dayton would be good but think about the folloing 2

X-sub

or

BIC H-100

Personally I have the BIC -H100 and I love it. I have a large living room and the sub fills room at only 50% level on the sub.

It looks like the H-100 extends my budget a bit farther than I had planned. My room is small... I don't know that I need a better quality piece of equipment than one of the cheaper models. I do plan to use this for movie watching/computer gaming, but I mostly listen to classical music that doesn't pressure a sub very much anyway, for what that's worth.
