i have this cyber monday laptop;

http://us.acer.com/acer/productv.do...tx1g.c2att92=447&ctx1.att21k=1&CRC=3502305612

Athlon 64 X2 L310 (1MB L2 cache 1.20GHz)
AMD M780G / ATI HD3200
4GB/320GB
Win 7 64 bit

it actually works pretty good so far
but i was thinking about a ~$100 SSD drive for it
like a kingston or ozc

hopefully i could squeeze out a bit more battery life and snappiness all around
win 7 is pretty good with boot times already though

is this worthwhile or any potential problems with this combination?
TIA

For about $100, you are looking at either a 30 or a 40GB drive. Leaves very little room for anything but the OS.

depends on the use case for the laptop... i have an acer timeline that I use when out of the office and 40gb is more than enough for windows office apps etc... thhen you can add 16 oe 32 gb sd card forrrrr media/file storage
