Cheap, Silent, No gaming

Business PC only. No games. Ever. (Not my PC lol)

I was thinking x1300 maybe 7300?

Literally just needs to be as cheap as possible, passively cooled, and able to run a Dell 2007. (I know anything can run windows successfully really, just thought I'd point it out)

No onboard please. Will the 7300 probably run cooler than the x1300?

Thanks.

I would go with a 7300 or x1300 for full Vista features, and personally either is fine, but I like the nvidia driver layout better, no bloated CC if you want to install the actual ATI or Nvidia drivers. Plus, purevideo seems to be free with the latest driver releases for the 7xxx line of nvidia cards.

Get a passively cooled 7300GT for complete safety, it should help playback HD DVD's down the line fairly easy. The gigabyte model at newegg looks nice for the money, and the GT has much faster memory which COULD be nice in vista, but who knows on that one...

Thanks, I was leaning towards a 7300 too.

Should've mentioned I'm in the UK, but no problem. I'm doing a lot of price searching already 🙂
