SVC.com has a great buy on low-noise, low-airflow NMB's here: link How's $18.50 for ten dual-ball-bearing fans sound? 😀 Their noise level is below that of the Panaflo L1A, although their airflow is significantly lower and less forceful too. In well-vented cases like the popular Antec/Chieftech style, they are about all you really need... I use them in my rigs and bought 45 more to put into our systems at work. SVC has cheap 3-pin-to-4-pin adapters and 3-pin Y's, too.

The first thought that comes to mind is whether you might have accidentally set the fans up so they fight eachother. The air comes out the labelled side of the fan, so if you open your case up and look from the rear, you should see the labels on all four fans, so the rear fans and front fans are all blowing rearward.Originally posted by: CheapArse
hey mech, quick questions, i had 2 stock antec fans before running my system at about 28-32 degrees C, but when i put in 4 nmb fans my system jumps to 38 degrees and i dont know why. I brought down 2 extra cables from the psu, could that be getting in the way of my airflow that much? thanks.Originally posted by: mechBgon SVC.com has a great buy on low-noise, low-airflow NMB's here: link How's $18.50 for ten dual-ball-bearing fans sound? 😀 Their noise level is below that of the Panaflo L1A, although their airflow is significantly lower and less forceful too. I use five of these fans in my office system, which uses the 800-series case that has room for three intake fans. I also did my quick little mod where I flip the PSU over. All the cases blow rearwards (front are intake, rear are exhaust) and the system is running pretty cool, basically at room temperature.
