Looking for a really cheap scsi card that will work with my Plextor 40x Max Version? Need Win2k Support. Let me know what you guys recommend? Thanks.

Adaptec 2940UW`s have become real cheap ($60+ range) if your needing a W2K compatible 68pin interface... Mine worked perfectly but decided to drop back to Win98SE for OC`ing

Bartman39: I was looking at a tekram because i herd they are cheap, and quality is good. anyone else care to comment? Thanks.

I have a Tekram DC-390F running my Plextor 8/20 CDR and UltraPlex 40xMax. Have had the combo since February and have had no problems at all with it. You can get a cheaper Tekram card for around $40 or so I think. Check Hyper Microsystems. Great place to shop for SCSI stuff 🙂

Hope this helps.....

Adaptec's 2930C card is cheap and reliable. It came OEM with the Imation-branded Plextor burners. I have one. It works like a champ. Price is right too.

I would recommend the Tekram 315 i use it for many customers, and have had zero problems with it.

Yep, you ought to be able to get a decent PCI Tekram for $20-40, depending on whether you want onboard BIOS. You don't need any thing fancy, although is that Plextor UW SCSI, I am not familiar with that particular model ...

Uh $60 in the Buy Sell Trade forum... keep a sharp eye out...

Also as far as W2k is concerned I`m just saying from exp. I honestly dont know much about Tekram cards???

Tekram cards work just fine with W95, W95OSRx, W98, W98SE, WME, W2K, Linux and Unix. The drivers for W2K are shipped with the card.
