I've got one of their routers, the only downside is their wireless is pretty weak, which is ok for you.

I use DD-WRT/Gargoyle with a DIR-601a1 which is even cheaper, very solid. I have a TP-Link WDR4300, great hardware but the stock firmware is crap that is fixed with DD-WRT

While I don't have first-hand experience with TP-Link, based on the reviews I have seen of their products at Newegg, I would have no reservations buying one of their products. Go for it!

Want something solid go for a WRT54GL. I have one and it's been going strong with DD-WRT for about 7 years now. About $50 though.

Refurbished NetGear WNR3400's from NewEgg are my preference for this. About $30.

Too slow for modern use.

I'd get a 3500L -- gigabit too! -- or a Belkin 7302. And run with Tomato, not DD.

Ther is No real imported differences in the Wired part of Entry Level Routers.

Might be that you need something special, however there is No info in your post beside the "Cheap".

So here is Cheap - http://3btech.net/bef58054wibr.html (shipped free).

Hmm, yes, that is cheap.
I know my wrt54G can't handle over 28Mbps... so, without knowing more details from the OP, besides 'cheap'... didn't say if he wants/needs gigabit performance or not, or perhaps they don't know ?

I've had a couple TP-Link routers. They seem pretty flimsy but I never had any problems with them and they worked fine.

Works for me. I don't use a NAS or share files over a network. The only downside is it doesn't support IPv6.
