cheap rent for a month?

I want to spend a month in another city for vacation, but staying in a good hotel may cost too much. I am wondering what 's the best way that I can rent a townhouse or hotel suite or a short-term apartment? I tried to google but I have not found much clue yet.

Can somebody offer me some idea?

Depending on where you go, I'd go camping! Or go camping for some days and then sleep in a hotel for a night.. That's just me though

search for a summer sublety at a local university dorm/apartment

look in a local paper for someone looking to sublet. or put in an add yourself volunteering to sublet.

craigslist.org and look in the sublet section if you're going to a big city.

I would see if there is an Extended Stay near the city you want to vacation.

Their rates are reasonable, rooms are clean, nicely furnished with a little kitchen ... it's like a mini apartment with housecleaning provided
