Cheap Radeon vs Cheap Geforce MX?

I am going to replace my old ASUS V7100 because I can't seem to get drivers to work with it for my TV Tuner and am sick of dealing with it. Plus I'd like to upgrade to DVI considering I have the monitor which supports it and already have a cable.

So my question is, is there any reason I should choose one over the other for just basic TV tuning and day to day office apps? I hardly ever do anything on here and with my old Asus card you can tell I don't need much.

I am going to get a seperate Tuner card because its just easier to have them seperate for down the road. And cheaper in my case! Thanks.

I am looking at these:
SAPPHIRE ATI RADEON 7000(VE) Video Card, 64MB DDR, DVI/TV-Out, PCI -OEM

Rosewill ATI RADEON 9200SE Video Card, 128MB DDR, 64-Bit, DVI/TV-Out, 8X AGP, Model "RW92SE-128D"

The Rosewill is my first choice though.

Either of those would be fine. Note that the 7000 you linked is PCI in case you're running low on PCI slots.

Thanks guys.

Think I will get the Rosewill. Just needed some confirmation I wasn't going the completely wrong direction. Now gotta decide if I really need a TV tuner or if I can get one for inexpensive that'll give me decent display with a remote. Been looking at the KWorlds on Newegg for pretty inexpensive also.

Ribbon, he wants one with DVI, although I agree rosewill's suck. I think its newegg's house brand.

1 DOA video card
2 spectaculr PSU deaths
and 2 $6 mice that double click every time you just click.

+$4 for the Sapphire is well worth it.

Haha thing with places like that, yeah great cable is $1.95 but shipping is $6.46.... so might as well get a nicer cable for 9 bucks at Newegg I guess

That's fine but this is so I can use my TV in my living room (where my server is) as a monitor when I need to login directly instead of remote. Not like I have a fancy video setup.

Didn't see the priority, that's not bad for me then.

So this company is legit?

I've bought a 50' component video cable from them, a 3' one, and a 12' one. All work great and I found shipping to be quite reasonable considering the weight of the cables.

If it wasn't legit, I wouldn't have them in my sig.

Oh, and if you feel like getting something of better quality than the cablesforless one (that I admit is certainly a budget cable), then ribbon's dayton cable will do nicely. I have a couple dayton audio cables and I really like their build quality.
