I'm building a system for the first time sometime soon (when i get the money), and i'm going to be overclocking it. However i'm trying to keep it cheap, currently it's at $520, and thats about as high as i'd like to go. I don't need help with the other components, those i have sorted out well, but i'm wondering if the vid card i picked out is deicent for the price.

It's a Rosewill Radeon 9600 from Newegg for $64.99.

How's this look? Thanks.

I've never heard of Rosewill. I'm thinking of getting a Sapphire Radeon 9600 XT for about $100. I wonder just how many companies ATI whore themselves out to this way.

Are Sapphire Radeons good vid cards, or just cheap ripoffs? What about all these other non-ATI cards with Radeon chipsets? Are they any good?

That doens't preclude it from happening! :D

Sapphire cards are some of the best OEMs in my opinion. Powercolor also makes a mean card in the softmoddable arena.

yea its a good card, isnt rosewill a subsidary of AOpen?

... which is a subsidary of Acer, which sucks ass. Suck then resonates back along the chain to AOpen/Rosewill. :p
