I searched, and couldn't find a thread about them, so I thought I'd post it.
It's most likely a scam, the prices are too good to be true.

for instance:
xbox console with 2 controllers and a 6month suscription to Electronic Gaming Monthly
is $180.

They say that they have 600+ stores in Asia, and are just opening their first stores in the US. (chicago to be exact)

as I said, it seems to be a scam, and you guys are really good at finding out all the info on a site, and seeing if its a scam or not, so I thought I'd post it, just for the sake of seeing what you guys could find out.

yeah i can pretty much guarenette that its a scam.. theres a big thread over at hardforums and they all pretty much agree that theres no way those prices are real... and now the company only does wire transfers which over to sort of protection

A ".org"? Isn't org reserved for non-profit groups? If so how can a legit store have such an address.

In any case, those prices are well below cost...scam.

Just sent them an email to see about picking up a PS2 starter pack directly from them since I live in Chicago. I'm not exactly expecting anything, but if I get a reply I'll let you guys know

Their first auction on yahoo was Feb 21. Since the 28'th they've sold about 75 items. Only 3 bits
of feedback so far. All positive and 2 from users with no feedback themselves. I'll have to look back
again in a week or two to see if anyone starts complaining.

If Walmart offered the same PS2 packs and someone buys it and tries to PM this store with AMEX(regardless if the person knows if the E-store is legit or not), how does AMEX make sure the E-store is legit?

Defrauding Amex by pricematching to a scam is going to hasten the demise of the BVG program. If you do this, then I guess you want it to go away faster.

by what he edited into his post, I think he's saying he wants to know how exactly Amex finds out that they are a scam, then he can take the same actions that Amex does to find out if they are legit.

Heh, if you do a whois on superb-bargains.com (which is just a redirect to .org) it says the domain was created on Jan-31 2002, and expires Mar-28 2002.

Gotta love a business that only plans to be around for 3 months ;)
