Many times I am too much in a hurry to make my own lunch in the morning, so I am looking for a place to eat for under 3 bucks (after tax) for lunch. I dont drink soda, so that will knock the price down. In case there is a cost of living difference, I live in south Louisiana.

We do have wendys, popeyes, and burger king. We also got a ton of mom&pop cajun cooking places, they are really good but are usually a little too expensive for what I want to spend (3-5 bucks for a lunch plate).

Jackpot!

Plain Potato (margarine, sour cream and chives optional)
Ceaser side salad with house vinagrette dressing
Small chili or 5 piece nugget w/bbq
water

throw in an extra quarter (with change back) for tax or take it to go.

Perfectly priced and decently "healthy"

Subway:

Delistyle Sandwhich and cookie/chips.

$1.79-$2.19 + 3 Cookies for a buck or thereabouts.

_Nobody_ is in too much of a rush to make lunch. My lunch each day consists of some fruit, cottage cheese, and a protein bar. It takes me about 2 minutes to make it, and it's healthier than anything else I can buy. Drop that bad boy into a tiny cooler and you're golden.

Beat me to it. A sandwich the night before is the perfect solution. Heck make a few side dishes as well.

Or there is the lunch in a microwave cup/bowl for <$1 each.

Subway is also <$3 in many locations.

Most local sandwich / sub shops have a sandwich for $2-$3. They tend to be much better than any fast food place, too.

If that's not available - Wendy's.

Love the el-cheapo menu. Chicken Sandwidch, Junior Bacon Cheeseburger, two tacos = $3+tax

:)

EDIT** No Jack or Costco? You are screwed then, might as well give up an die right now (or take the time to make a lunch)
