I am planning on building a sys in the next few weeks based around a 200GB SB, a 3000+ Venice and a Abit AX8. I am planning on getting 1GB Scan Elixir DDR for just normal usage, but I have decided that if I enter competitions/show someone my pc/etc, I want some overclocking RAM. 512MB to be precise :D I have a budget of £80 max, and need a single stick. The Corsair PC4400 TwinX looks good, but you have to buy a GB at £152. Can you get it in 512MB sticks, or what else would you recommend?

As a ABIT/VIA chipset user, I would suggest getting a nForce4 mobo especially if you plan on overclocking.

Nah. First of all too expensive, secondly AX8 can overclock further than the AN8. And yes, I have proof :D

I remember reading somewhere that VIA KT890 performs worse than the nForce4 (which should be nearly impossible because A64 memory controller is on chip), but I guess you should double check.
