Cheap Oakleys???

Certified Oakley dealers can't discount their glasses without getting permission from Oakley. They have a set price that their glasses can retail at, and if you go lower then that price, Oakley will pull their merchandise from the store. Unless they are discontinued models.

Oakley needs a governmental price-fixing lawsuit against them. Those tactics are made to circumvent capitalism. Nintendo was guilty of this once because they threatened to quit selling merchandise to stores that did not charge high enough prices.

i dont think oakley is really big enough to warrant government attention. and there is a lot of competition in the eyewear industry anyway. unfortunately, because of suckers like me, they will never go out of business on their own.

*Oakley Factory Sale*

happens once a year I think - Foothill Ranch, So Cal. I think last year was June

They have > 50% off on some closeout models. I got some pretty cool wire frames for like $45. The catch (besides location) is you gotta know someone, ie. an employee, AND you gotta get there hella early and battle crazy people like at a day-after-Thanksgiving dept store table.

Out of state alternative: Ebay gets flooded around that time. Try to pick the real ones.

I got some "oakleys" in mexico for $5 🙂

I was gonna say Mexico too. 🙂

My bro just got back from Mexico and got Oakleys and a Rolex watch for $60. I'm sure they are both knock-offs, but they both seem to be top quality knock-offs.

buy it from reputable sellers. get it with the packaging, warranty card, etc... i think someone selling fake oakleys would put make it explicit (because there are people who are looking for fake oakleys) or else their feedback would be tarnished

I have had one or two fake pairs and they were junk. The frames broke easily and the lenses were garbage. My real oakleys are great and have lasted well since I bought them, including many dips in saltwater.

I rarely see discounted Oakleys, but REI Outlet usually has some.

and there are hardly any merchants that sell oakley's that arent certified dealers...why, i dont know. theres an oakley store opening soon near me, and i have a feeling the prices are gonna be >MSRP...*sighs* oakleys are like crack to me, i cant get away from them.

God I know what you mean, for some reason I always want a new pair. I got some square wires, sold them later to get some juliets, and now I'm looking long and hard at the half-wires. I think if Oakley ever releases a new x-metal model, I'll get it. Lately all the new models have been jackets like the Valve and Plate :|
Anyhoo, I've never seen Oakleys selling for less than retail except on ebay. Occasionally you can get a 10-20% coupon for a site and get it to apply to some oakleys, but they're usually older models. IMO oakleys are definitely worth the price tag.

couple months ago i ran across a fogdog.com coupon that did a 25% off, and they carried oakleys, and allowed the coupon to be used on it. got the polarized a-wires and are nice.

seems like only good way to get discounts on retail oakleys are going that route, find an online store w/ a good percentage off coupon and hope they let you apply em for oakleys.

there was a footlocker friends and fam 30% off issue sometime last year, where few lucky ones got to get oakleys for 30% or whatever percent off, before corp office caught a wind of it and killed the deal.

it maybe hard to find a discounted oakleys, but when you look hard for it, it will be worth your while.. be sure to pick up the ballistic case w/ em also. seems like a rip off, but they are sooo crucial in keeping yer oaks in the right shape.
