I just picked up a 4-Bay JBOD eSata/USB 3.0 enclosure and want to use it as a media-server. I'm looking for a cheap NAS adapter that supports NTFS and (possibly Samba).
I don't think eSATA is going to work because the enclosure needs port-multiplier support to access all the drives. USB 2.0 will probably be adequate for media-server purposes, and if I ever need to write a lot of files I'll just hook it directly to my PC over USB 3.0.
I've seen a few of these cheap NAS adapters on the net in the ~$40 range. Any suggestions?
