cheap modem recommendation please...

i've decided to sell my &quot;old&quot; computer to my friend and i'm going to add a <cringe>56k modem</cringe> for him. i know he's planning on getting a cable modem in the near future so he won't be using dial up for too much longer...but i need to pop in the 56k modm to hold him over till then. basically, i need something cheap (but not crap) that will work well with win2k, any recommendations?

It really doesn't matter. I would just get the cheapest 56K that you can find. If it is only going to be installed for a short amount of time, he just needs one to get around on the 'net so I would go with anything.

I got a bunch of motorolla PCI modems for $12 each, they are good. Just buy the cheapest one on ebay
