cheap long distance

This is an update from last weekend when I asked about getting some cheap long distance phone cards. The best deal I found thanks to a link someone (sorry forgot your nick) sent was at www.blackstonecallingcard.com It comes out to liek $.02 a minute and has worked for me well this whole week! Those of you with somone you call a lot a ways away might want to try it out (viper comes to mind hehe).

Yeah they had a bunch of different plans, and most of the cards had a decent connect fee, but I'm guess you do like I do and talk in blocks of a couple hours so a lower perminute and higher connect fee is better.... Sorry I was mistaken, I see the one I got was 2.5 cents a minute hehe

Edit: Be sure to read the disclaimer though, that one has like $.90 surcharge per call, and $.50 a week maintance fee hehe..

How do you tell the connect fee on the card? I'm not seeing that...

You're right, though, my calls are typically 1 - 2 hours, sometimes more. Low cost/minute is good for me.

Ahhhh go from this page and go to the disclaimer for the card you're looking it. It lists the maintance fee and per call surcharge!

I assume the connection/weekly/monthly fees get deducted automatically from the value of the card?

Yup, every time you call the 1800 number you get how much money you have left to your card after you enter your pin. If you have a debit card you can get the number emailed to you too which is kinda handy!

Maybe tomorrow I'll get one of these. I can use my regular long distance service to get ahold of her, & then call her back on the card...

My phone bill is going to pretty much disappear!

Yikes spanish hehe. Last week I had the blackstone 1, or whatever at 2.5 cents, I just ordered the 1 cent excaliber and decided to try it....
