I went to my local COSCTO in Westbury and they had a deal on these lightbulbs.

8 Flourecent 60 W compact lightbulbs.

$18.99
- 16.00 (IR)
= $2.99 + tax

They also had a 4 pack of 100 W of the same type of lightbulbs.

$13.99
- 8.00
= $5.99 + tax

My Costco in Lancaster, PA had a 3-pack of 100W-equivalent flourescents, packaged in those hard-to-open, clear plastic "card" packages, but there was no instant rebate or other discount. I think they were something like $13.99 or thereabouts...

Home Depot often has these type of deals. Just look for the stuff on the endcap.

This is hot for me. :D:D
I hope my local Costco also has these.

There are two places in my house where those dumb GEs seem to burn out about everyotherweek.
I know these will last nearly indefinitely.

Boy, I bought a 4-bulb pack last week, but anyway there is no rebate at my local store (foster city,CA).

Not a good deal for me. Should mention as YMMV .
