Cheap laser printer recommendations ?

I am looking for recommendations for a low cost laser printer to replace my Epson AL1500 (300dpi and $150 toner).
It looks like the NEC1400 or the Brother 1240 or even the Brother MFC-4600 all-in-one laser fax . Comments on these would be appreciated. I don't want mistakenly buy a POS and/or have high cost per page consumables. Thanks
 
You'll be better off reading review comparisons rather than listening to opinions here. Try CNet or ZDnet for some reviews and comparisons.
 
I've owned the Brother 1240 for about six months, and it's fantastic. Incredibly fast, great quality, and I paid about $150 for it through a Mercata deal.
 
HP 1100 is an excellent small office-budget laser printer. However, it does have a limited feedtray-but that is my only complaint...
