I'm looking to buy a cheap laptop with HDMI connectivity that I can hook up to my HDTV. I wouldn't be playing any games or that sort of stuff with the laptop, so it doesn't need to be anything fancy. I just need it to be able to play movies/media via HDMI, and do it well.

Any recommendations? Cheap price = better!

Thanks :)

Well I picked up mine about 18 months ago.

HP Pavilion DV9740US 17" High-Definition LCD Entertainment Laptop Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 Processor/

HDMI and Blu-Ray for under $1k.

I'm sure you can get something similar for far less today.

What price range?

My buddy just bought a $500 Asus that only has VGA out. So not all of them yet.

You can also consider adding a USB-HDMI converter to any laptop.

Just saw this at slickdeals.
Cheapest decent laptop you are going to get.
Only $400 and comes with wireless N, slot load optical drive and memory card reader.
Much better than the $400 Compaqs from staples, which doesn't even have the 4500MHD (with full hardware acceleration) and webcam.
