cheap internet box

i need to build a cheap internet box for someone who wants to do a bit of surfing and check emails...and maybe some word processing , thats it. upgrading is not an issue either so this is what i am thinking about:

PC chips mother board M754LMRT with onboard TNT2, modem, 10/100, and sound.
celeron 700 (or maybe even lower)
64mb PC133 SDRAM
any old cheap ATX case
10gb fujitsu HDD

the monitor and other peripherals are taken care of. i priced this out and it is pretty cheap but is there anything wrong with the parts i am using, especially the motherboard. i have never used a PC chips before but it is $110 canadian. any input is appreciated

Maybe an 810/815 would be worth the extra money so you don't have to deal with the potential headaches of using an Ali chipset board

Not to be contrary, but the person who "wants to do a bit of surfing and check emails...and maybe some word processing , thats it." turns into "why can't I get a better frame rate and lower ping times in Quake III deathmatch?" within a year and a half!
Always try to keep the possibility of upgrading open

i hear what you are saying DDad, personally i wouldnt allow such an integrated motherboard in my home but this is for someone who is extremely cheap and feels that he/she (she) can get performance for dirt cheap...so this was my suggestion, the person has been warned and i relinquish responsibilty as soon as they get the computer.

i second the idea for 810e chipset, they come in lots of different integrated variations and you get decent quality and support for a good price... also, a lot of them are compatible with fc-pga chips and have agp slots for upgrading...
