That looks like the same fan that was on my Galaxy Copper Cooler I got from SVCompucycle. That fan is so loud it is incredible. When mine cut on, the lights in my house dimmed, I could not hear the TV, and I only saw the lips moving on my wife who was talking to me at the time. I just could not put up with the noise.

Gee jTek, you make that sound like a bad thing?🙂

The basic design is the same, but that is not identical to the Volcano 5. I have one in front of me ($6.99 from Fry's) and I can tell it's different from the one in the picture. I can see several differences including, but not limited to, appearance of the HS material, design/positioning of spring/clasp, changing height of fins.
I can only imagine that when they say it's an identical HS to the TT Volcano 5 they mean it's a good knockoff.

that's GC12, right? I am using one with a 7000rpm fan before my wife complain it so much and i don't like it either. Change to a quieter 5000rpm fan and it is better now. (But i still want to find "cheap" way to quiet it down)

funny the way svcompucycle said on GC12:
High quality dual ball 37.5CFM Young Lin Tech fan for quiet operation
and you fell for it. 🙂

BTW, they sell the GC21 for 7.45
